Las Paletas

Las Paletas.jpg

Freedom Fellowship is reaching out to our neighbors by inviting them to an evening with lots of popsicles or “Las Paletas”! This is a great opportunity to meet those who live within walking distance of the church! At the church, there will be all different types of popsicles, great music and crazy games! You don’t want to miss this summer event!

But we need your help to make popsicles!

On July 10th we will be having a popsicle making party in preparation for the actual “Las Paletas” event. Feel free to bring any supplies you need to whip up your creation!

If you would like to volunteer for the event, please contact Meri Sue Ramsey!

Why Belong?

In a day and age when many people are opting to avoid sharing life with a local church, we have to ask the question, “What will attract people to share their life with the local church?” The answer to this profound question is, “when the local church offers something that people cannot get anywhere else!”  So, what can’t we get anywhere else?   Sounds like a sermon huh? I await your feedback.

Grads…

Grads,

In a few days you are going to hear cheers for you, and congratulations, and the challenge to be a difference maker for good. Are you ready to be a difference maker for good? If not, perhaps you need one more class.  The video at the web address below is what I call, “What Your Teacher Never Taught You”.  The intent of this post is not to slam teachers, educators, and college profs.  The intent of this post is to challenge each of us to check the so called facts of American history for ourselves, and then use the truth to initiate dialogues that will lead to goodness.  Some teachers know of the contents of this video; others do not.  Regardless of who knows or doesn’t know, almost all K-12 public school teachers are constrained to teach only what is in “approved” text books and “approved” lesson plans.  So give your teachers a hall pass, enjoy the video, and be ready to be a difference maker for good.

STUDENT LIFE Youth Camp

CONNECT – Journey Night

“CONNECT” is a weekly opportunity for youth to discover God, grow deeper in their relationship with Him, and fellowship with other students.

We start at 7:00pm every Wednesday, but the doors are open by 5:30pm if you want to come and hang out with us.  We have music, lots of snacks, and you can usually find a game of basketball, ping pong, or four square.

Journey night is a student planned and student led night where students experience God in different ways than our usual Wednesday night.
