There are many ways that Christians engage with God and continue to build our relationship with Him. Freedom Fellowship’s secretary, Barbara Ferguson, has used poems to unravel the many beautiful mysteries of God as a means of walking with God and to help point others to Him. “Moses”, a poem by Barbara, challenges her senior friends.
Moses
“It wasn’t until his eightieth year
That Moses began his challenging career.
Don’t ever think you’re too old to be used.
What would have happened had Moses refused?
History would have read differently
And the Hebrew slaves might not have been free.
He wouldn’t be honored by the Jewish nation
Nor have talked with Jesus on Mount Transfiguration.
Senior friend, what will you choose?
Will you be afraid and opportunities lose?
Or with your experience will you do what you know
So you will bless others wherever you go?”
